“God says, “Be still and know that I am God. I will be praised in all the nations. I will be praised throughout the earth.” –Psalm 46:10 (ICB)
Lately, I have been struggling with wanting to know definite answers from God. The “I want to know now” mindset was overwhelming me each and every day. I asked, “God, how can I be still?” And God impressed in my heart: “My child, be STILL…because I AM still in control. I AM still the God of miracles. I AM still the God who makes a way when there seems to be no way. I AM still the God of the impossible. I AM still the God who is always on time. I AM still the God who is faithful to His promises. I AM still the same God yesterday, today, and forever.” The enemy will always try his best to distract us and cloud our minds with worries, fears, and doubts. But nothing and no one can ever change who God is and what He can do in and through our lives. In Psalm 27, David shared his experience in seeking the Lord and waiting upon Him:
13 “Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. (NLT) 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (NKJV)
I have attached the link of a song that has touched me and I hope it blesses your heart as well. I pray that no matter what we may face in life, we will remain in perfect peace, believing in our God’s omniscience and trusting His perfect love for us. After all, He knows what’s best for us…so be it.
Still by Hillary Scott and the Scott Family: “You’re parting waters, making a way for me. You’re moving mountains that I don’t even see. You’ve answered my prayer before I even speak. All You need for me to be is still.”
